Preserving Forest Wisdom
Through the Van Dhan Vikas Kendra (VDVK) initiative, part of the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana (PMVDY), we partner with tribal communities to sustainably harvest and process Minor Forest Produces (MFPs). This not only provides a livelihood for the tribes but also helps in conserving the forest biodiversity.
What is a VDVK?: Van Dhan Vikas Kendras are tribal-owned and managed enterprises that focus on value addition of MFPs. They are a cornerstone of the government's efforts to empower tribals.
